Roast Glis Glis for Christmas Dinner
Our old friend Mrs. Armitage from Slough sent us an email last night asking us how many Glis Glis we think she requires to feed the Armitage family on Christmas Day.
She informed us that 4 generations of Armitage’s will be there but not to worry about Emma as she is a vegetarian and will be having her usual nut cutlet.
We emailed her back asking just how many people would be sitting down for Christmas Lunch and she replied this evening that there would be 7 (not counting Emma)
She also let us know that Sidney has problems with his teeth and would not be partaking of the Glis Glis which brings the number down to 6.
Well Mrs. Armitage – We generally recommend 2 Glis Glis per person if your are just going for plain old roast Glis Glis but if your going the full hog and including stuffing, chestnuts, sausage meat and pigs in blankets you could easily get away with 1 and a half Glis Glis per person.
It’s also quite easy to make Glis Glis meat look like root vegetable, so if you want to slip Emma a couple of slices you could always tell her it’s Moroccan Parsnip.
As for Sidney, just stick a Glis Glis in a blender and serve him a Glis Glis smoothie – problem solved.
